Rocky Russo
Head Coach
Now entering his third year as head coach/GM of the Youngstown State University Men's Hockey Club, Rocky Russo has guided the Penguins to victory in the 2005-2006 CHA League Championship, as well as a 29-21-0 record over the past two seasons.
Rocky is also an assistant coach of the Mahoning Valley Phantoms Jr. A Hockey Club, and he is the director of youth hockey groups at the Ice Zone. Rocky lives in Youngstown with his wife, Andrea.
A 2000 graduate of Canfield High School, Russo holds a Bachelor's degree in business management from Kent State University, where he also played hockey for four seasons. During his time at Kent, Rocky's team reached three ACHA Division I national tournaments: 2001, 2002 and 2005.
