Penguins Take to the Road After Two Conference Losses.
In the last few weeks the Youngstown State Hockey team has faced a string of bad fortune. Whether it be a one goal loss, a bad bounce or questionable call one fact, remains the Penguins are looking to win in Michigan. The Penguins take to the road on Friday as they face Michigan Dearborn a nationally ranked opponent. They will face that same Dearborn team again on Saturday and will face another ranked opponent in Adrian College on Sunday. "Sometimes we look like the best team in the nation and other times we look like basement dwellers". "If we come out this weekend and play like I know we can we should be able to win some games this weekend". explain coach Patterson. The Penguins are in the middle of their longest loosing streak of the season which has extended too 6 games after two losses last weekend. "We're defiantly looking to rebound after our losses to West Virginia and Slippery Rock, we really do not have a choice but too." Said Freshman Nick Wolf. As the Penguins head into the last stretch of their season there is no question that all the players are feeling the pressure. The Penguins are sitting in seventh in the CHMA and need to be in Sixth in order to make the playoffs. Coming into the year the Penguins had high expectations and although a nationals appearance is all but dead the Penguin hockey team is still looking to win the conference championship and end the season a good note.
